WHY DO CATS SHAKE THEIR HEADS?

Every cat owner acknowledges that felines can be extremely picky about virtually everything.

They Are Arranging Their Fur

By swaying their heads, cats can sometimes indicate that they are not in the mood for affection.

They Aren’t in the Mood

A cat's disposition can fluctuate rapidly, and you may find that they reject affection on occasion.

It is a trait passed down from their progenitors, the wild cats. Feral cats construct a 'nest' for a nap or a safe place to give birth by pawing piles of leaves or tall grass.

They’re a Little Itchy

As with humans, sometimes it's necessary to scratch an irritation.

Ear infections are more severe than chronic allergies, particularly in animals who cannot express their discomfort.

They May Have an Ear Infection

Frequent head shaking and clawing behind and around the ears may indicate an ear infection in your cat.

Owners frequently overlook ear infections until the later phases, typically when there is a gross discharge or an offensive odor.
